The Inspire project was successfully piloted in the West Midlands during 2004.  The 3 pilot areas were Coventry, Stoke-on-Trent and Wolverhampton and the new programme aims to build on their experiences to roll out Inspire across the entire region.  Inspire has attracted a high level of commitment from libraries in the West Midlands with 100% sign up from the public and HE libraries, as well as strong support from FE, health and special libraries.

The Monitoring and Operational Group (MOG) for Inspire in the West Midlands meets bimonthly and is made up of representatives of the key library stakeholders in the region.  They liaise with a network of sub-regional library clusters who are taking the project forward in their own areas.
