With a Reader Pass, you'll have free access to all of our Reading
Rooms at London St Pancras and our newspaper library at London Colindale,
where you can consult material from the 150 million items in our collection,
covering:

To obtain a Reader Pass for St Pancras
and Colindale, you'll need to go to the Reader Registration office
at St Pancras with proof of your identity and home address - a bank
or credit card, passport or driver's licence, together with a utility
bill or bank statement. For further information, including opening

You can search our collections online or remotely.
- Our Integrated Catalogue allows you to search over 12 million

- You can also find other major catalogues online, covering newspapers,
maps, manuscripts, sounds and serials, plus a range of specialist

- You can freely search 20,000 journals and 9 million research
articles online at British Library Direct - and order full text

Our Enquiry Service can provide answers to queries about our collections,
